Trip reports from hiking the San Diego 100 peaks list are found below. This is the historical list for San Diego County, created by a group of San Diego peakbaggers in the 1990s then adopted by the Sierra Club. The peaks on this list range from short trail hikes to big off-trail days and moderate scrambles. A perfect goal for someone looking to build or test skills and explore the county. An archived page from the Sierra Club including early finishers and history can be found here. For more extensive San Diego peakbagging history, visit Richard Carey’s website.

I completed these hikes from 2010-2012 with paper maps often without any route information. While I’d spent some years in the mountains beforehand, this project is where I really transitioned into a prolific peakbagger. During this time I fell in love with Anza Borrego, the desert, and chasing lists. I finished the California 14ers in 2009, the San Diego peaks in 2012, then went on to complete the DPS (2017), HPS (2019), and LPC (2021) lists, all 50 state high points (2021), the lower 48 ultras (2022), and am now just a few peaks away from completing the lower 48 P4ksI still visit Anza Borrego as often as possible – there is always much to explore.

While there are more modern resources, for now I plan to leave these up for legacy purposes. For help with site navigation and a disclaimer, read this.
