I didn’t know what to expect when I traveled to Bolivia but with the impressive city of La Paz and seemingly endless ever-changing landscapes, it didn’t take long for me to think of Bolivia as one of my favorite Latin countries. Due to high wind we had to abandon our plans of climbing the country’s high point, the massive 21463′ foot volcano Sajama, but we did climb Parinacota, a beautiful 20827′ volcano on the Chilean border along with Acotango (19856′). We also visited one of the less popular salt flats and had an epic 11000′ descent down Bolivia’s “death road” on mountain bikes.
