Other - Tacoma Sleeping Platform

With aspirations of spending a lot of time on the road over the next few years, I built a modular sleeping platform into the back of my Tacoma.  Most of my gear and clothing fit into long plastic bins that slide underneath, along with a custom table fitted wtih a grill-stove. Smaller necessities (flatware, french press, portable shower, lantern, folding shovel, etc…) fit into small cubby-holes in the corners of the platform. I topped it off with homemade blackout curtains, a custom mattress, and a raised camper shell. The truck can now go from hiking to gear stashing to cooking to falling asleep to a movie in no time. With all the sleeping I’ve done in the back of my truck over the years, I should have done this sooner, much sooner...
