At 13143 feet, Mt. Ritter is a prominent peak just southeast of Yosemite in the Sierra Nevada, and is known for one of the worst tragedies in Sierra Nevada mountaineering history back in 1971. I packed into Lake Ediza and climbed solo from camp, enjoying perfect weather and veiws of Half Dome and Mono Lake from the summit.
