Uzbekistan is where I started my Asia cycling tour, flying in to Samarkand with friend Christian Mulkey. The historical sights in Uzbekistan are incredible, with the Registran being one of my favorite man-made creations of all time. The people were incredibly hospitable, many times gifting us food and inviting us to visit. Christian and I cycled to Tashkent, took a train to Andijon, and cycled to Kyrgyzstan from there.
