Back to the Los Coyotes Indian Reservation, I set out for three peaks on the SDC peak list – Palm Mesa, Pike, and Cody. I walked from the San Ignacio cemetary to the eastern border of the reservation and into Anza Borrego, dropping into the north fork of Borrego Palm Canyon and up Palm Mesa’s west ridge to its summit. From Palm Mesa I turned back towards the reservation, climbing up and over the Pike Benchmark, before descending and heading up once again, finishing off with the Cody Benchmark.
