Funny, this part of the world hadn’t been on my radar at all a few months before I was here, but it turned out to be one of my favorite and most rewarding trips. I cycled from Thessaloniki, Greece to Brasov, Romania over 8 weeks, passing through North Macedonia, Kosovo, Albania, Montenegro, Croatia, Bosnia, and Serbia. Jacob Kallman joined me in North Macedonia and cycled with me to Bosnia, then met me again in Bucharest, Romania. We then rented a car along with his friend Alan Buxbaum and did a massive road trip through a few other countries: Bulgaria, Moldova, Ukraine, Poland, Slovakia, Austria, Slovenia, and Hungary. Jacob and I split ways again in Budapest, where I packed up my bike and flew to Dubai for the next chapter…
